BOOK COVER
I had originally intended to do the cover art myself, although I did not have any time to spare, but
then I met Michelle purely by chance just after I had made up my mind to publish this book. Returning to my car one glorious
afternoon in Augusts 2006, I unintentionally veered off-course to take a brief walk beside the River Avon prior to going to
work. I was wondering what illustration to use for my book over when I spotted a narrowboat directly in front of
me that was obviously a floating art workshop. It turned out that Michelle and her family were travelling the canals and rivers
on a three-week cruise and were only in Evesham for one night; had I visited the riverbank several hours either way I
would never have had the good fortune to make her acquaintance. Not only is Michelle an artist but she specialises in pet
portraits, so what a stroke of luck that was for me beause I knew that I wanted a cat on the front cover. I truly believe
that fate guided me to Michelle's narrowboat that day and the result of our chance encounter speaks for itself. Michelle is
currently working on my next book cover that is due to be printed in late June.

And the picture to the right is my latest book cover, also by Michelle Martin. "THE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURES
OF AMANDA AND SKELLY" is due to be published on July 2nd, 2007!
