Possibly a water nymph - who knows, it just comes out of my head!

GOOD FEEDBACK

(These have had to be edited, otherwise they would give away the main parts of the stories!)

Re: A CAT CALLED IAN, BY SARAH (AGED 10)

I enjoyed the whole book but my favourite part was where... My favourite character was Ivan because he is very kind and helps Ian... I didn't have a worst bit because I enjoyed it all. As soon as I got the book I couldn't stop reading it because it's so enjoyable and interesting.

(ALSO FROM SARAH, regarding The Incredible Adventures of Amanda and Skelly)

I couldn't put the book down! I liked it because it was imaginative... My favourite chapter was when they went on holiday...

From: SEAN (AGED 12)

I enjoyed the book thoroughly. I finished the book within days as I was glued to it!

FROM PAIGE, (AGED 9)

A Cat Called Ian is about a boy who needs to change his ways. The characters I like are Gubbins, Trojan and Ian. I like Gubbins because of how he acts all through the story. I like Trojan because he acts a bit mysterious. I like Ian because he wanted to get help. I didn't like it when Ian had a fight with the two Siamese cats who were girls... I'm nine years old. It took me about four days to read this book... I think other children will like to read this book because it has a lot of excitement and a lot of feelings.

FROM ANNIE (AGED ADULT!)

Re: A Cat Called Ian - I love the characters and the storyline, and the chapters are just the right length for a chapter a night bedtime story. Sentence construction, vocabulary and grammar are far and away better than a recently published (and over-hyped) well known series of books which, in my opinion, are absolutely diabolical at times... I think the story compares favourably with The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton, which was on my 'to-read-once-a-year' shelf when I was a child.

FROM SHERRIE (ALSO AGED ADULT)

I am sending you this e-mail from the USA as I am interested in getting a copy of A Cat Called Ian... I was wondering how I could get this done because I can't seem to buy it here in the States... I have heard really good things about the book and would love to purchase a copy for my daughter who loves to read.

(NOTE FROM WOLFIE: Sherrie subsequently went on to buy The Incredible Adventures of Amanda and Skelly too! See Mckensie's comment in my guestbook.)
